
BOATING
Boats of different
capacities are maintained by the Kerala Tourism
Development Corporation (KTDC) and the Kerala Forest
Department. Boats can be hired for a 2 hour cruise, the
easy option for sighting wildlife.

TREKKING
a. The
group day trekking with guide is 3 hour
long trekking through the jungle.
Trekking starts from 7 am. A maximum of
5 tourists are allowed for trekking at a
time.
b. INDIVIDUAL TREKKING (TTEDC)
This is a Sponsored trekking. The
trekking starts at 7 am & 3 pm. Each
trekking group will be accompanied by a
trained guide. Rate depends upon
sponsors. |

RIDE
The
Elephant ride is conducted by the forest
department
Timings - 10 am to 4 pm

TREKKING
Only
physically and mentally strong persons
to develop / sharpen their power of
observation to sense the unseen animals
and birds during dark nights.

Jungle Safari by jeep (40km) Breakfast,
Trekking, Sighting animals,
Mountaineering, Lunch, Peddle Boating,
Tea and returns by 6:30 pm. |

THE
PERIYAR TIGER TRAIL
(Adventure
trekking and camping)
The programmes are 1 night / 2 days and
2 nights / 3 days. The first day's trek
starts at 12 noon and ends by noon in
the second or third day. The team
consist of a maximum of 5 visitors, 5
guides and 2 forest officials.
Here one may chance to encounter much indigenous wild like like giant
squirrel, Nilgiri langaar, elephants and
who knows even tiger.
Tented camping and vegetarian meals is providing for the team and
accompanied with armed forest guards
with good communication equipments.
Visitors should be serious nature lovers and who are
medically fit and aged between 15 - 65 are advised to take
the Tiger trail. |

BAMBOO
RAFTING
Starting at 8 am from the boat landing and teams back to
the boat landing around 6 pm. Only two groups are allowed
per day. One group can have maximum of 5 members. From the
boat landing two hour trekking and have breakfast
and starts rafting and trekking again. A team will escort
the tourist for rafting. Food and mineral water is
provided. |
